La Academia Kids

On Saturday, August 3, children ages 5 through 14 had a chance to become music stars at the final casting for La Academia Kids. Azteca America planned a giant celebration in Huntington Park, for families to spend time with their favorite performing artists and popular Azteca America hosts. The celebration featured Mexican Regional performers including current Luis Coronel and Régulo Caro as well as Don Pedro Rivera El Patriarca, Gustavo Rivera, Keila Ponce, Banda Olas Altas, Nadia, Cynthia Rodríguez, Carolina Soto and Samuel, all performing their best songs and biggest hits. Actress and telenovela star Gaby Spanic chose the event to launch a new phase in her career as a Regional Mexican singer. Backing her was the talented band La Nueva Diligencia, a finalist in the musical reality competition show Quiero Ser Grupero. Also at the event were present the radio personalities El Mandril, La Toluca, and El Burbuja from 97.9 FM La Raza, and Keven Ramírez and JC Cuevas of Super Estrella.
