Wapa TV’s Idol Puerto Rico doing well in ratings

The August 29th and 30th broadcasts peaked at 42% share

The broadcasts of Idol Puerto Rico last Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th, led their time slot in all demographics, peaking at 42% share.According to Nielsen measurements, the women’s semi-finals show on Tuesday the 30th, got an average 36.9% share in the Home demographic, versus a 16% of Telemundo and a 22.7% of Univisión.The Women 18-49 segment also favored Idol Puerto Rico, obtaining a 35.2% share, compared to 14.1% for Telemundo and 22.9% for Univisión.Similarly, the Men 18-49 demographic reinforced Wapa TV’s dominance, registering a 28.4% share, versus 12.3% of Telemundo and 19% of Univisión.The People 18-49 demographic got a 32.3%, while Telemundo obtained a 13.4% and Univisión a 21.2%.“It’s demonstrated Puerto Rico prefers to watch local talent in an unprecedented impressive production, and we thank our audience for all its support,” said executive producer Paola Portilla.
