Puerto Rican basketball fans living in the U.S. will be able to watch live games from Puerto Rico, after WAPA Television signed an exclusive contract with the Puerto Rican Basketball League to televise the leagues games on WAPA América, the stations U.S. cable network arm.The games will air in Puerto Rico on WAPA2, its local sports channel. The season will begin in March.It was very important to us to acquire rights to these games, as the Basketball League has a faithful following among Puerto Ricans. We are proud to make these games available to the Puerto Ricans living in the U.S. This contract reaffirms our commitment to offer high-quality entertainment and sports programming to our viewers living in and outside of Puerto Rico, said José E.
