Vme TV premieres special series Camino a Rio. The six-part series follows two soccer-loving television personalities, Mark Watson and Henning Wehn, as they journey through four Latin American countries toward Brazil, home of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Camino a Rio will be broadcasted by Vme TV every Saturday at 6pm E/P beginning May 24, 2014. The series documents Watson and Wehn’s South American adventure, as they drive 3,000 miles through Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Colombia on their way to Brazil. They observe the culture and cuisine of each country, as they explore the exciting game of soccer and the FIFA World Cup. Throughout the voyage, they meet some of the most well known soccer players and experts including Zico, the fourth highest goal scorer for Brazil and Joshua Nascimento, the son of the legendary ‘Pele.’ “Camino a Rio spotlights a sport that has long been, and still remains, a strong part of our heritage, and incorporates many themes that we, Hispanics, can relate to. Vme TV is thrilled to broadcast a unique program that offers such culturally-relevant, educational content while tying in a Hispanic favoritesoccer,” said Ralph Parkman, vice-president of Marketing of Vme TV.
