Telemundo’s Miss Universe reaches 4,796,000 Total Viewers

Last Sunday (January 25th) broadcast of Telemundo’s Miss Universe reached a cumulative audience of 4,796,000 (+106% vs. 2013) Total Viewers and 2,489,000 (+131% vs. 2013) Adults 18-49, according to Nielsen. Hosted by television stars Raúl González and Rashel Díaz, the beauty pageant averaged 2,271,000 (+88% vs. 2013), Total Viewers and 1,086,000 (+98% vs. 2013) Adults 18-49. This year’s broadcast of Miss Universe became Telemundo’s best performance of the show in its history among total viewers. Locally, the world’s most famous beauty competition was the #1 Spanish-language program in its day part, in Los Angeles and New York among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, and ranked #1 regardless of language in Miami, in those same demos. Miss Universe was preceded by Camino a la Corona, presented by Guad Venegas and Jessica Carrillo, where viewers got a chance to know the Latina contestants before they competed for the crown. The one-hour special averaged 1,340,000 Total Viewers and 613,000 Adults 18-49, and increase of +53% and +56%, respectively, vs. 2013.
