Olegario Vázquez Aldir, owner and general director of Grupo Empresarial Ángeles de México, who also presides the Media Division that groups Cadenatres, Diario Excelsior and Excelsior TV, Imagen Radio and the open TV nationwide frequency that they recently won, was guest of honor of the Telemundo upfront.In statements to PRODU, he said that he felt very happy for winning the bid of one of the open TV nationwide frequencies auctioned by the Mexican State. We hope to live up to the expectations of Mexico´s TV market. Regarding if they were going to bid for the second network that Radio Centro left when they were not able to pay for what was established, he expressed that they were waiting for the Federal Government and the IFT to resolve what they were going to do with that frequency to make a decision.The Grupo Empresarial Ángeles is known in Mexico for the Ángeles hospital chain and the Camino Real hotels they own. He answered that it had been right for them to start investing in media.Finally, he responded that he was attending Telemundo´s upfront to see they type of content that is being made in the US Hispanic market, made up, according to his own words by a mostly Mexican population.
