Martha Kattan of Univision Houston: Anthony Ortiz Rodríguez joins our team as meteorologist

Univision Communications announced the addition of meteorologist Anthony Ortiz Rodríguez to the Univision Houston local news team. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association will provide weather coverage Monday through Friday across all Noticias Univision 45 broadcasts and digital platforms beginning on Monday, August 8.“We know how important it is to get accurate weather information everyday—Anthony’s appointment reinforces our commitment to delivering the best weather coverage we can to our community in the Houston area,” said Martha Kattan, VP of News at Univision Houston. “Anthony has the enthusiasm, energy and talent that will be a great addition to the Noticias Univision 45 team.” Ortiz Rodríguez, a native of Puerto Rico, earned a B.S. in Physical Sciences and certifications in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology as well as Secondary Education-Science from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Geoscience-Broadcast Meteorology from the University of Mississippi.
