Luca Bentivoglio, COO and Head of Programming at LATV, expressed at the channel´s Upfront in New York, that they hope these will be times of great success. “At our tenth anniversary, we are working on that. Today I can say we have three important agreements”.
One of them is the partnership with Mitú, owned by Beatriz Acevedo: Mitú´s best videos are going to be aired on the channel. “The second is the agreement to produce with People en Español. We will produce programs that have to do with their primetime. We also have another agreement with Entravision Radio, where El Show de Armida y La Flaca, a very successful radio program, will have its version on TV”.
Bentivoglio stated that currently the language isn´t so important, that what matters is for the content to talk to the Latino who lives in the US. “Mexican programming is going to have less relevance for this audience, we need local and young productions that live the same things as those who live in the US, in big cities.”
The executive stated that they are currently very focused on digital. “We are launching a digital platform, we are on Roku, and we are on Apple TV, with content that not only comes from the programs, but are special digital contents. It is vital for us.”
