Azteca America will broadcast Miss Universe 2015 from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Sunday, December 20th at 7pm/6pm C. One of the most well-known international beauty competitions will air its 64th edition with contestants representing over 80 countries. Miss Universe is a beauty pageant owned by WME/IMG. From the first Miss Universe pageant held in Long Beach, California, in 1952, the number of contestants has increased over the decades, as has the importance of the competition on a global scale. The event is now viewed by over 500 million people throughout the world. A total of 167 countries have sent at least one candidate to compete in the pageant and the show can be seen in over 190 countries.This year, the ceremony will be hosted in English by Steve Harvey and will be presented in Spanish on Azteca America by Vanessa Claudio and Poncho de Anda.Last September, the Miss Universe Organizationwas sold by Donald Trump to talent agency WME/IMG, which now owns the Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA pageants.
