Azteca America premieres UEPA! Un Escenario para Amar, a new youth-oriented telenovela produced by Azteca. Starring Gloria Stálina and Erick Chapa, it features actors Betty Monroe, Ana Belena, and Martha Mariana Castro. UEPA! Un Escenario para Amar debuts on Monday, June 8 at 3pm/2pm C, on Azteca America. UEPA! Un Escenario para Amar tells the story of Lourdes “Lule” Jordán (Gloria Stálina), a young woman who takes care of younger sister Estefy (Tatiana del Real) after the death of their parents, keeping up the lifestyle to which she had become accustomed. Lourdes wants Estefy to continue her education, so she takes a job as a waitress and dancer at a bar called Pink in order to pay tuition at her sister’s expensive school. Feeling forced to set a good example for her sister, Lourdes pretends to be a prestigious psychologist, creating a false parallel life to support her lie. Destiny brings Claudio de los Arcos (Erick Chapa) into Lourdes’ life, with whom she falls in love at first sight. But she also lies to him about being the psychologist who Estefy admires so much and her web of lies becomes increasingly tangled in the budding romance. In UEPA! Un Escenario para Amar, Gloria Stálina and Erick Chapa, actors who trained at Azteca’s Centro de Formación Actoral (CEFAT), get their first lead roles and they shine alongside more experienced talent such as Betty Monroe and Martha Mariana Castro as well as young Azteca talent like Regina Murguía, host of Hasta Mañana es Lunes.
