Veronica Elizondo of Conill as FIAP Advertisements juror: I look for fresh, attractive stories

Veronica Elizondo, executive creative director of Conill, forms part of the Metals jury in FIAP’s Advertisements category. “A simple idea inspired by a solid human truth, a fresh, attractive story with an impeccable purpose” is what she seeks in the pieces entered in that category. The evolution of the Advertisements category – which for FIAP includes TV and movie commercials – in the current industry has been highly diverse and so permits a wide range of entries. “The media have never been so diverse. Consolidating all kinds of ads in the same category gives all the participating pieces the importance they deserve, regardless of the media for which they were created,” she said. For Veronica, being a member of the FIAP jury is an honor and a responsibility. “It is also an excellent opportunity to be exposed to the best advertising in Latin America and to collaborate with some of the most talented people in the industry.” If she could propose changes in the structure of the awards, it would be to recover the event’s in-person structure. “Live jury sessions enrich the process and unveil great knowledge behind the participating pieces.”
