Campaña Corona por MullenLowe

“Want a Corona Hard Seltzer Limonada? Order it in Spanish, por favor.” A vending machine in Las Vegas selling this alcoholic beverage will receive you with just such a request. In alliance with Duolingo, Mullen Lowe L.A. challenges non-Hispanics to place their order in Spanish. “Una Corona Hard Seltzer Limonada, por favor” are the words the customer should use to address the machine in order to get his drink. Those who manage to say it correctly will get a free can of it, while those who botch it will receive a free month on the language-teaching platform Duolingo to improve their Spanish. “Pronunciation problems are something we can help non-Hispanics overcome,” said Renato Barreto, associate creative director of Mullen Lowe. “We wanted to deal with this common cultural challenge in a pleasant way that would set this alcoholic lemon-lime drink apart from the other hard lemon seltzers available on the market.” See the video.
