After a year of being honored by the world’s major advertising festivals for creating the commercials Action, Adult and Epic for the radio campaign of the Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, Sergio Alcocer, president and CCO of LatinWorks in Austin, Texas, talked with PRODU about the agency’s success for the second straight year at the London International Awards, where it took a Gold LIA. “The prizes we won this year at London topped a year in which, once again, we were the most prizewinning multicultural agency in the world. What makes me proudest is the agency’s creative consistency over the years,” Alcocer said. The commercials, developed together with the Miami music and audio postproduction studio Personal Music, have been honored at the Cannes Lions 2012 with a gold for the Hispanic market, at FIAP, the Clio Awards, and by the El Sol Ibero-American Advertising Festival in San Sebastian, the New York Festival, and the USH Idea Awards.“The dynamic collaboration of Personal Music and LatinWorks in creating the campaign presented at the Cine Las Americas International Film Festival shows that, when creative minds meet, great things can happen,” said Alberto Slezynger, founder of Personal Music. As for the agency’s expectations for 2013, Alcocer said that “we look forward to 2013 with a lot of enthusiasm. We see it as a time of great organic growth and opportunities for new accounts in categories that lend themselves to doing really good work.”
