For Ross Ludwig, executive creative director of Conill, the total market discussion that started in 2013, along with the booming participation of brands in digital and social networks, were the principal points of interest last year. “In our case specifically, the creation of social and analysis teams led to some very fresh and efficient work” Ludwig told PRODU.Notable among the most memorable spots from his viewpoint were The Glad Tent by Alma for Glad. “It was a really brilliant idea, so simple and yet it solved a problem so elegantly” he said.Another piece the creative added to his list of favorites was the safety video of Virgin America airlines. “I just like the idea of taking something that all of us have to sit down and think about, and turning it into something that is wonderful to see and share”.As for traditional advertising, Ludwig picked the Dodge Farmer spot aired during the Superbowl. “At an event where everyone is yelling as loud as they can, these where powerful and memorable for being calm and cerebral” he said.About the commercials the debuted late in the year, Ross named the Volvo spot with Jean-Claude Van Damme. “It’s a fantastic demonstration of the product, and in addition I’ve been a fan of Van Damme since I was a kid and I saw the movie Bloodsport” he said.
