Juan Jose Posada to preside over Design category at Rio’s Wave Festival

The Wave Festival in Rio announced its list of jury members and significant changes to its qualifying system. The Colombian Juan Jose Posada, executive creative director of Geometry Global LatAm, will preside for the first time over a category in this festival. Besides having three new categories, the festival features another difference this year: shared juries that in most cases have different presidents.Members of the Film and Film Craft juries, for example, will be the same. But the first category will have Argentina’s Gaston Bigio as president, while the second will be headed by another Argentine, Andy Fogwill. The same goes for Press, with Luiz Sanches as president, and Outdoor, led by the Argentine Jose Molla.Other presidents of the jury are Eco Moliterno of Africa for Cyber and Mobile; Juan Jose Posada of Colombia for Design; Yosu Aranguena of Hecho en Mexico for Direct; Carlos Bensan of Abrazos Ogilvy Tierra, Chile, for the Blue Wave award for the most innovative ideas; Chile’s Maria de la Luz Velasco of Extend Comunicaciones for Public Relations; Mexico’s Rafa Martinez of Anonymous for Promo; and finally, the American Laurence Klinger of Lapiz for Radio.
