DDB Latina announced that it has acquired the regional Electrolux account for all Latin America except Brazil; PRODU spoke with Juan Carlos Ortiz, president of DDB Latina, about the new account.“We’re very proud of this new achievement of DDB Latina. It will be a great honor to work for a brand as iconic as Electrolux” Ortiz said.Electrolux, the leading brand in electric appliances, picked DDB Latina after a selection process lasting four months, in which some eight global agencies were in the running. With this appointment, DDB will be responsible for communications for Electrolux, Frigidaire and local brands.DDB Mexico’s creative team led the creative charge, in which several offices of the network participated, to win this important account.“This win is obviously the product of a great team and excellent work, a team that is always in some way thinking how can I do this even better and never feels completely satisfied” the executive said.The Electrolux decision to choose a global agency for the region is due to its intention to cover the entire area with a single message. “DDB strategy will be to launch a high fashion approach that outfits each market for its outstanding features and needs” he said.
