With support from the Cuban-American singer Jon Secada, Wendy’s introduced #PretzelAmor to the Hispanic market through a bilingual video, inspired by tweets posted by the pretzel bread sandwiches lovers. The video Another more pretzel (Otro pretzel más ) is an adaptation of his hit Otro día más sin verte, and talks about the great love between consumers and pretzel bread sandwiches. The video was featured on the YouTube channel of {Wendy’s;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EppW09ehD5s} and its official Facebook page.”I’m excited to be part of this campaign,” said Secada. “It’s a fun opportunity to combine and share my love for food and music.”The pretzel bread sandwiches were presented last year and, although they were available for a limited time, they captivated consumers around the country. Wendy’s and its advertising agency, The Bravo Group, used the most romantic and passionate consumers’ tweets and compiled them to create the lyrics of the song.In addition, Secada will appear in a television commercial in which surprises the Rojo family while driving and listening to one of his songs. The real surprise is when the Rojo family realizes that the singer is eating a Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger and finds out their favorite pretzel bread has returned.”Jon Secada’s commitment to education, charitable causes and family values makes it an excellent example to follow, and we are very happy to have his participation in this campaign #PretzelAmor for Hispanic consumers,” Liz Geraghty, Marketing VP of Wendy’s, said.
