Gallegos United won a silver award in the Hispanic category at the 2017 North American Effie Awards for the campaign Language Choice for the telecommunications company XFINITY. The creative work was centered on the perception that language isn’t a Hispanics characteristic in the U.S., but a metaphor of how they live their lives. The campaign, which contributed to a 420% net increase in new Hispanic subscribers in a year was seeking to differentiate XFINITY from its competitors, by establishing an emotional and authentic connection with Hispanic consumers. The work conveyed a deep understanding of what it means to be bicultural and proved the telecommunications company’s unlimited commitment to Hispanics.Gallegos United is the company’s agency of record since 2004 and received the recognition during the gala of the Eiffe Award on Friday, June 1st.
