The documentary Yasuni, produced by Roberto Alcazar and Juan Fernando Ayora of the social content agency EO Integration, and directed by Nicolas Entel of Red Creek Productions, will premiere next March 9 at the Miami International Film Festival 2013.The film was made with the support of the United Nations Yasuni ITT (the Ishpingo-Tiputini-Tambococha oil field) Initiative, which seeks to protect the rain forest and permanently prevent the pumping of 846 million barrels of petroleum from that part of Ecuadors Yasuni National Park, approximately 20 percent of the nations oil reserves. In 2012, EO Integration in New York created the international campaign I Am Yasuni, developed in five languages to make this initiative widely known. The project currently includes a massive presence on social media like Facebook (facebook.com/IamYasuni), Twitter (@IAmYasuni), YouTube, Pinterest and Google, on all of which the international community is invited to lend its support to the project. On the social network platform I am Yasuni, two videos related to the production will also be presented, one featuring Eglantina Zingg, who is also executive producer of the project. The documentary will premiere next March 9 at 4:30 p.m. at the Regal South Beach Cinema 18 (1120 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139).Part of the initiative also includes an iBook to be sold online, with all profits donated to the United Nations fund for the Yasuni ITT Initiative.
