Advertisements are being prepared for the Firefox browser

The Firefox browser, differing from its rivals, will soon be presenting a series of commercials for every one of its members.Mozilla, the nonprofit group that develops and updates the popular Internet browser, recently said that thumbnail commercials will be launched on websites visited frequently, and appear when opening a new tab. Many of these miniatures, called Enhanced Firefox Tiles remain as fast links to favorite sites, some with sponsored logos or other promoted images.The decision comes after an experiment of the receptivity of ads among a small group of users, after trying for a year.The ads are a way of Mountain View of Mozilla to stay relevant in a time when more people are using Microsoft Internet Explorer and Google Chrome when surfing the web. They expect Tiles Sponsored help influence groups of powerful advertising without compromising their nonprofit values. Furthermore, they also represent a potential new source of income for Mozilla, which gets most of its funding from Google through an agreement in which Mozilla will be the default search engine. “We see this as a significant support to Mozilla’s income” Darren Herman, VP of Content Services for Mozilla, said in an interview.
