For 2020, THEMA América´s priority is to continue with the expansion of Kanal D Drama in Latin America and US Hispanic. The signal has just entered Comcast´s Xfinity platform, one of the main operators in the US. For Patrick Rivet, CEO of THEMA America, this launch is very auspicious since it represents the channel´s arrival to the US Hispanic market brought by one of the great systems, which assures that other relevant agreements will come next.
“It is the first stage of the development of the channel in the US. This channel began a year ago, in 2018. Now it is in Panama on Millicom, on Movistar Peru, in Uruguay, and Chile, among others, but in the US it is the first time we launch it on one of the big ones,” he highlighted.
Another priority for 2020 is to define what other added value proposals can work with pay TV operators, as is the case of Comcast in the US.
“See what we can do in marketing, how we can handle the experience of the Hispanic community. We are going to work with the agency República Havas owned by Jorge Plasencia and based in Miami. We are working together to obtain better understanding of the type of consumption and what message we must launch to the community for our content to reach the final audience the best way possible,” explained Rivet.
