2023 is a year of many launches and new bets for the distribution and production company Latin Media, founded and chaired by José Escalante. He announced that in May or June they’ll be launching their own FAST channel to place the productions they represent, Asian content such as Filipino, Korean, Turkish, Thai and recently, Turkish.
“During January we released eight titles, two Filipino, two Indonesian, two Turkish and two Korean, and we have others on the way that we will introduce at LA Screenings. Our Asian content is working very well in Latin America, especially in countries like Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Peru and Panama, which is why we have reached agreements with two platforms that will launch our products,” he said. Their content is already available on ViX, YouTube channels and Roku.
The results on the growth of the FAST and the content within the allied platforms in different countries, convinced Latin Media of venturing in these channels. Escalante explained that their Latin Media FAST channel, “will be the platform where all our content will be available and, most importantly, it’s dubbed into Spanish”. He added that this launch is a way to keep growing in the increasingly digital world and keep his audiences up to date.
He added that they continue to represent the América TV catalog of Peru, which they are selling in Asia, and new territories were opened in Europe.
