Carlos Márquez-Sterling was appointed VP of Development and Production
Zodiak Latino announced the appointment of Carlos Márquez-Sterling as VP of Development and Production. Márquez-Sterling will be based at Zodiak’s Miami office and report directly to Harris Whitbeck, Chief Executive Officer of Zodiak Latino, and Juan Maldonado, Chief Creative Officer of Zodiak Latino. Márquez-Sterling’s primary focus will be developing new unscripted series as well as adapting Zodiak entertainment formats for both the US Hispanic and Latin American markets. He will be working with a slate that includes ratings hits such as Mexico’s Next Top Model and Sing if You Can (Canta Si Puedes) for Ecuador and Peru. Carlos is that rare mix of decades of industry experience and a fresh and innovative approach to both development and production. Prior to joining Zodiak, Márquez-Sterling served as senior director at the MundoFox affiliate WGEN, and in charge of program development with Caracol America Productions where he developed the late night comedy talk show El Show con Tony Benítez and developed the pilot series for the entertainment news magazine XTRAMAX.
