Barely five months after having introduced the Zee Mundo, 24-hour Bollywood cinema channel, in the industry, it is already present on DishLATINO, reaching 1.8 million subscribers, on Sling TV and in April it will be in Ecuador with TV Cable.
“We are very happy with the results obtained until now and expect to add Mexico and other pan-regional countries so they can enjoy the more than 3,800 film titles we have” comments Rolando Figueroa, Head of Marketing-Communications-Digital for US Hispanic and Latin America at Zee Mundo / Zee Entertainment.
For his part, Javier López Casella, general manager and Business director at Zee Mundo, states that the challenge of new channels is to manage to have a space in cable operators. That is why they developed an app where clients can incorporate the linear channel to their VOD or OTT service.
“With this initiative we are reaching 100% of the population, because if we can´t be on the programming grids, people can access us through digital” added López.
