WXTV’s Noticias Univision 41 wins Early Evening news race for seventh consecutive sweep

WXTV’s Noticias Univision 41, the New York area’s premier evening Spanish-language newscast airing weekdays at 6pm is No. 1 among Adults 18-49 regardless of language. In addition, Noticiero Univision, airing weekdays at 6:30pm, is the No. 1 network news program in New York among Adults 18-49 according to the October 2011 sweep. Univision 41 has ranked No. 1 in weekday news from 6 to 7pm since the April 2011 sweep among Adults 18-49, surpassing all newscasts during the hour, regardless of language.Anchored by Rafael Pineda, Noticias Univision 41 weekdays at 6pm delivered a first place finish, averaging 125,000 Adult 18-49 viewers. WABC’s Eyewitness News was second delivering 85,000 Adults 18-49. In the 6:30pm network news race, Noticiero Univision with anchors Jorge Ramos and María Elena Salinas won with 130,000 Adult 18-49 viewers, while ABC World News finished in second with 88,000 Adults 18-49.
