Crunchyroll
AT&T, the mother company of WarnerMedia, announced that they are in negotiations for the sale of the Japanese anime streaming service Crunchyroll, a platform that has more than three million subscribers.
The ones interested in the purchase are no one less than Sony, who seeks to strengthen their position in the Japanese anime market, where they already have great presence with one of Crunchyroll´s competitors called Funimation.
The sales figure established by WarnerMedia is US$1,500,000, which Sony is not willing to pay. The Japanese giant will likely buy the platform if the amount is lowered.
Multiple analysts insist that it is an amount higher than the value of other services in this style in the region, and they assure that if AT&T maintains this position, the transaction will not take place.
