WAPA produces one of the top-rated local shows on the island, SuperXclusivo
WAPA Televisión was the highest-rated broadcast station in Puerto Rico in 2010, beating both Univisión and Telemundo in Full Day (6am-2am, Mon-Fri) and Primetime viewing (6pm-11pm, Mon-Fri) in Households and all key demographiccategories, according to Nielsen Media Research.According to Nielsen, which began measuring TV viewership in Puerto Rico in April 2010, WAPA is the 2010 Primetime ratings leader among all key demographic categories, including Households, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49, and Men 18-49.WAPA out delivered the competition from 6pm-11pm Monday-Friday with a 17.6 rating in Households, holding a lead of 53% over Telemundo (11.5) and 20% over Univisión (14.6).In the key advertising demo of Adults 18-49, WAPA led with an 8.3 rating; a 46% advantage over Telemundo (5.7) and a 32% lead over Univision (6.3). In Men 18-49, WAPAs 8.1 rating was nearly equal to the combined ratings of Telemundo andUnivisión (8.7 total).WAPA also led in Total Day viewership Monday through Friday, averaging a 10.0 rating in Households, beating Telemundo by 54% (6.5) and Univisión by 6% (9.4). Among Adults 18-49, WAPA led with a 4.4 average rating; a 57% lead overTelemundo (2.8) and a 19% advantage over Univision (3.7).We intend to work very hard to reward that loyalty in 2011 by providing our viewers with an exciting combination of original daily and weekly shows, the most comprehensive news coverage, new must see locally-produced reality shows and specials for the whole family, and virtually all of the top rated U.S. series and blockbuster movies, said Joe Ramos, President of WAPA Televisión.
