Koniec Tour is a 30-minute weekly travel program

Three local Puerto Rican programs, never before seen in the U.S., are scheduled to debut this week on WAPA América, the U.S. cable network arm of the leading broadcaster in Puerto Rico, WAPA Television. “We continue to seek out and offer our U.S. viewers the best local programming from Puerto Rico to keep them connected to their culture and entertainment back home,” said Jimmy Arteaga, VP of Programming for WAPA America. For fans of classic Puerto Rican comedy, Minga y Petraca will make its U.S. debut on Friday, March 2, at 8pm. The show, which began airing in Puerto Rico nearly 20 years ago, features two middle-aged, mustached women—played by celebrated personalities Antonio “El Gangster” Sánchez and Johnny Ray—who analyze and poke fun at popular Puerto Rican gossip magazines. Also on March 2, viewers can enjoy a second dose of comedy with TVO (I see you, for its Spanish pronunciation), a 60-minute hidden camera show that captures hilarious pranks pulled on unsuspecting citizens throughout Puerto Rico. Following its debut, the program will air on Monday nights at 8pm at its regularly-scheduled time. Both Minga y Petraca and TVO are produced by Antonio Sánchez.Beginning on Saturday, March 3, WAPA América will premiere Koniec Tour, a 30-minute weekly travel program that takes viewers on an adventure ride across the island of Puerto Rico. Produced by Esteban Serrano, the program offers in depths look at some of the Island’s top historical, culinary and tourist attractions. Koniec Tour will air Saturdays at 6:30pm.
