WAPA América gets exclusive broadcast rights to Puerto Rico Basketball League games

WAPA Television signed an exclusive contract with the Puerto Rican Basketball League to televise the league’s games on WAPA América in the U.S. The games will air in Puerto Rico on WAPA2, its local sports channel. The season will begin in March.“It was very important to us to acquire rights to these games, as the Basketball League has a faithful following among Puerto Ricans,” said José E. Ramos, president of WAPA Television.“Basketball is by far the number one sport in Puerto Rico and we are committed to becoming a sports leader in Puerto Rico.
