Carlos Bardasano, president of W Studios, announced that they will produce Rubí for Televisa´s Fábrica de Sueños, a project that has 12 titles (25 episodes each), that will render a contemporary tone and streaming make to television´s most iconic telenovelas.
“With Amar a Muerte we gave a twist of the screw, with El Último Dragón, two twists of the screw and now we have this project we are truly thrilled over Televisa´s Fábrica de Sueños. We will be lucky to tell one of these stories in the W Studios style, Rubí” he stated.
Bardasano assured that Rubí, original by Yolanda Vargas Dulché, born as a comic, was produced in 1977 by Valentín Pimstein and then by José Alberto “Güero” Castro in 2004. Now, W Studios plans to start shooting this new version in March.
