Vme´s Planeta Feroz receives environmental award

National Spanish-language television network, Vme, received Héroe del Medio Ambiente (Hero of the Environment) Award from the Monterey Bay Aquarium during its annual Fiesta del Mar event on Sunday, October 16, 2011. The network was recognized for being the Spanish leader in nature-dedicated programming with its daily block, Planeta Feroz (Fierce Planet). Planeta Feroz host, Alessandra Villegas, accepted the award on behalf of the network.Vme’s Planeta Feroz has the most extensive and award-winning natural history and wildlife programming with more than 10 hours of exciting shows each week. Planeta Feroz runs from 6 to 7:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 6:30 to 7:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1 to 4pm on Saturdays.
