Guillermo Sierra, Senior VP of Programming of Vme, who hosted the young networks Upfront, saved for last this years main course: Los Kennedy, a series that reveals the intimate secrets of the Kennedy family, including those of Jacquelines, widow of President John Fitzgerald, and later wife of Greek mogul Onassis.In addition to this blockbuster, Vme offers a variety of programs that prove the network maintains its philosophy of presenting only high-quality programming for its U.S. Hispanic audience. Some of these programs include highly successful Spanish series such as El barco and Piratas, the morning programming block for children and mothers, the original programming produced in Miami by Plural Entertainment, the reality shows, and the investigative specials of Jorge Gestoso.This consistency and three important milestones are driving Vme through a successful path. The first milestone is the Nielsen ratings. The second is the addition of ex-Univisión Patty Marrero as executive in charge of Sales, and the third is the incorporation of the Spanish group Prisa as the majority shareholder and provider of content and production infrastructure.Manuel Polanco, Chairman of Prisa TV, attended the Upfront and spoke to PRODU about Vme and what it represent to his conglomerate.
