This episode revolves around a renowned TV host who finds herself in the middle of a scandal because she would have fake guests on her talk show

VIP 2000 TV just finished the first episode of Escándalos, which was produced with Caaliope entirely in Mexico. The first season of the episodic series is comprised of 20 episodes produced in Mexico, 10 in Venezuela and 10 in Panama.Roxana and Rosalind Rotundo, CEO and International VP of the company, said they were pleased with the results. “We know well how hard it is to produce in this coveted territory in Latin America. We’ve produced this series 100% independently, with limited budgets, and good quality; in preparation for the digital expansion we expect to see in the region,” they told PRODU. Carlos Sánchez and Alicia Flores were the Executive Producers of Escándalos México.Rosalind Rotundo explains this first episode revolves around a renowned TV host who finds herself in the middle of a scandal because she would have fake guests on her talk show. “We think it’s a relatable subject that will work well with the Hispanic audience. This episode will be formally introduced at the upcoming Mipcom 2014. Today we’re presenting the demo to PRODU,” she said.Production of Escándalos in Panama will begin in October with Tony Rodríguez, the same director who did the episodes in Venezuela.“Los Escándalos, as we like to call the series, has been sold to Telemundo in Puerto Rico and to Televen in Venezuela, which already aired the season premiere with good ratings. We have high expectations for Mipcom and will be announcing there two important deals,” added Roxana Rotundo.
