Somos TV´s ViendoMovies, celebrates Thanksgiving Day with back to back renowned comedies that will be sure to have you burning off those extra holiday pounds, together with your friends and family. These movies have been specifically selected to entertain the whole family with light, humorous films, while representing the best movies produced in Spanish in this genre.ViendoMovies, as part of its strategy to integrate both the Latino and mainstream cultures in the United States, celebrates both cultures, a unique component to the Hispanic immigration experience. To fulfill this purpose, the channel synchronizes both its on air look, along with its special programming to be in tune with the publics spirits.The channel will begin its special programming at 7pm on Thanksgiving Day with La Gran Aventura de Mortadelo y Filemón, a film that brings to life two classic comic book characters launched in the 1960s and still being enjoyed by their fans (published in more than a dozen countries) who are deficient and catastrophic secret agents. The laughs continue at 9pm with Chile Puede, a hilarious story about a businessman who decides to send the first Chilean astronaut into outer space, but cant quite find the money to bring him back. The film is directed by Ricardo Larraín and written by and starring Boris Quericia, the famous Chilean actor and director.Another movie programmed for the special day is the film, Que se Mueran los Feos at 10:30pm. The comedy focuses around 40- something less than handsome Eliseo, whose life and love life is anything but rosy.
