ViendoMovies will be present at the 2014 Miami International Film Festival (MIFF) covering the premiers as well as interacting behind the scenes with some of the best directors in the independent film industry in this beautiful city. The festival will run from March 7th to the 16th. Memories of the Desert, directed by Jorge Durán and starring Daniel de Oliveira as well as Daniela Ramírez, will premier during the MIFF and compete in The Knight Competition, open to dramatic works from Latin America, Spain and Portugal as well as Latino-themed works produced in the United States. Another film competing in The Knight Competition is To Kill a Man by Jorge Fernández Almendras, winner of the Grand Jury Prize from Sundance Festival. Séptimo by Patxi Amezcua, another Latin American director, which tells the story of a father in search for his missing children. The film stars Ricardo Darín, a renowned Argentine actor, and has been a hit in Argentina with over 1 million spectators. La Cueva (In Darkness We Fall) directed by Alfredo Montero will also be premiering at the MIFF. The film is a realistic horror movie about 5 friends that go on vacation and decide to explore a cave, when they get lost. Similar to La Cueva is The Fault by the Colombian Director Simón Brand. The film develops its horror category through realistic circumstances within the movie. ViendoMovies features interviews with directors, actors, actresses and other Latino talent in the dynamic film industry.
