VeneMovies will change its name to ViendoMovies

Maribel Ramos-Weiner| 17 de junio de 2011

VeneMovies will change its name to ViendoMovies on July 4th, simultaneously with a new on air look. The network, produced and distributed by Miami-based Somos TV, ratifies its position in the market as one of the leading thematic channels in the US Hispanic television.The re-launching of the channel, as part of its 5 years on air celebration, follows a strategy which makes the brand more in line with the signal covered market (me puedes mandar el original por favor?) (the United States and Puerto Rico) and the network’s growth plans.“The name change looks to be more in tune with the genre covered by the channel, in a growing bilingual market. The change also reaffirms the personality of the brand as a network produced and distributed in and from the United States and is why we have chosen this important date,” said Luis Villanueva, president and CEO of Somos TV.With this new name and re-launch the audience will receive a much more up-to-date signal in its graphic presentation, with new shows dedicated to the film industry and with the capacity to be followed in multiple platforms and social networks (the channel is present in new technologies and modern ways to connect with and attract its audience united on the topic of Spanish films).The name transition has been in implementation for more than a year with the mention Viendo Movies occupying gradually more space in audio and screen, already familiarizing itself to fans of the channel. This strategy and the fact that the main elements of the channel (music and logo) are preserved, facilitate the assimilation of the new identity.{Watch ViendoMovies´s new on air look;www.produ.tv/popup.html?noti=5191&ID=53100&link=av/ViendoMovies-0611/ID.mp4} – {Watch mobile version;quick.produ.com/av/ViendoMovies-0611/IDMovil.mov}
