VeneMovies and Semillitas, both property of SomosTV, have experienced significant growth in distribution recently, according to Luis Villanueva, President and CEO of SomosTV.Villanueva is very satisfied with the launch of both signals in different regions among cable companies such as Comcast and Verizon and Charter Communications, allowing these channels to increase their presence in Southern California and several states in the southern part of the United States.We are satisfied with the growth that our networks have experienced in the last quarter of 2010 and beginnings of 2011, which has surpassed the expectations that we had for this point of the year. In the case of VeneMovies, the channel was launched by Verizon FiOS and Charter Communications and in the case of Semillitas, the network was introduced in South Florida by Comcast and by Charter in California and next in Louisiana and Tennessee, commented Villanueva. The executive added that Semillitas also has very good expectations of a quick launch in Puerto Rico, where VeneMovies has very high acceptance.All the projections of the Census available augur results exceeding the expectations and this, together with the increase of buying power and the importance that Hispanics assign to their language, origin and roots, gives a very positive atmosphere for those companies that do business in the United States’ Hispanic Market said Villanueva.
