The 14 contestants must prove their chops and dedication in the kitchen
Sunday, November 14, at 11pm marks the premiere, on Utilísima, of a new original series produced by FoxTelecolombia, the full content producer for the Fox Group. Cocineros al límite is the new one-hour reality-show series, consisting of 13 episodes, hosted by Chefs Mark and Jorge Rausch.The hosts, Mark and Jorge Rausch, are two renowned Colombian chefs whose track record and innovative, high-quality menu creations have positioned them among the top names in Latin American cuisine. Jorge and Mark were trained in England and Canada, respectively. Jorge specialized in savory dishes and now heads Criterion, one of the top restaurants in Bogotá. Mark is a pastry chef who specializes in French-style patisserie and versatile, home-style cooking. Their expertise and discipline in the kitchen have led to their being selected to test 14 young Latin American chefs in Cocineros al límite.Hailing from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela, the 14 contestants must prove their chops and dedication in the kitchen to the Rausch brothers. Two teams, the Red and the Blue, will each be led by one of the Chefs and face off in a weekly challenge. One team will win, while the losing team will send one of its members home.In 13 one-hour episodes, the groups of chefs gradually dwindle down, until only the top three remain for the grand final face-off. The winner will be awarded a postgraduate course in culinary arts at the Le Cordon Bleu Peru, all expenses paid.
