The Univision Network announced that it is on pace to finish the July 2013 sweep as the No. 1 network, broadcast or cable, in primetime among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, marking the first time in any sweep period.With double-digit percent advantages over second-place broadcast network FOX among Adults 18-49 (+21%) and Adults 18-34 (+20%), the Spanish-language network will also conclude the July sweep as the No. 1 network with young Persons 12-34 with a 30% advantage over nearest competitor, FOX. 2013 has been a year of milestones for Univision, said Univision Communications Inc. President and CEO Randy Falco. Finishing the February sweep as the No. 4 network, ahead of NBC, made a major impact. Wrapping up July during a time when other networks are investing more than ever in summer programming as the No. 1 network among both Adults 18-49 and 18-34 for the first time, is making history.Additionally, in its ninth consecutive July sweep among Adults 18-34 and sixth consecutive July sweep among Adults 18-49, Univision will finish as the No. 1 network on Friday night. This includes strong competitive advantages over the closest competitors: ABC (+81% among Adults 18-34) and NBC (+41% among Adults 18-49). In comparison to last years July sweep, Univision is showing audience growth of 6% among Adults 18-49, while ABC (-24%), FOX (-20%) and NBC (-12%) are reporting declines. This also includes growth among both Men 18-49 (+7%) and Women 18-49 (+5%).
