For a second year in a row, Univision produces and airs TeletónUSA, which this year starts December 13th at 10pm and ends Sunday the 15th at 2am EST.The 2013 TeletónUSA will be much better than last years. We were very pleased with that experience because it was the first time it was produced in the U.S. Don Francisco has been doing it in Chile for over 30 years and Televisa has done it for over 15 years. Results were good, but were improving all aspects: scenery, production, content, we want to do it better. It is one of the biggest challenges weve faced at Univisión, said to PRODU, Luis Fernández, president of Univision Studios. The 2013 TeletónUSA will offer viewers 28 uninterrupted hours broadcast from coast to coast. The goal this year is quite ambitious, one dollar over what we collected last year: US$15 million 235 thousand, said Fernández. The executive said they recently broke ground on the Teletón Rehabilitation Center for Children (CRIT) in Texas. Univision Networks president César Conde; San Antonio mayor Julián Castro and the governor of Texas were present at this beautiful and emotional event. It demonstrated that the Teletón helps children with disabilities, added Fernández.
