As the year comes to an end, Univision is posting big wins among hard-to-reach TV viewers ages 18-34 (who very soon will be among tomorrows Adult 18-49 demographic that advertisers crave). The Spanish-language network has had more #1 nights than ABC, CBS or NBC among Adults 18-34. In fact, Univision out-performed ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on more nights in 2011 versus 2010 among both Adults 18-34 (309 vs. 305 or virtually every night) and among Adults 18-49 (252 vs. 205 or on three out of every four nights).Number 1 nights in 2011 among Adults 18-34: Fox (137 Nights) followed by Univision (82 nights), ABC (55 nights), NBC (34 nights), CBS (27 nights) and CW (0 nights).For the sixth consecutive year, Univision is set to finish as the #1 network on Friday nights among Adults 18-34, ahead of its closest competitor, Fox, by 25%.The network also finished the year as the #5 network, regardless of language, for the eighth consecutive year during primetime with 3.6 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.9 million Adults 18-49. And for the third year in a row, Univision has maintained its fifth-network ranking among all Adults 18-34 with 1.1 million viewers. (Univision has delivered more Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 viewers across every night it airs head-to-head with the CW in 2011.)Univision continues to deliver younger viewers during primetime in comparison to the English-language broadcast networks: Univision (36-years-old), ABC (51-years-old), CBS (56-years-old), NBC (50-years-old), Fox (45-years-old) and CW (37-years-old).The network will finish 2011 as the broadcast network with the highest concentration of live viewers, with 94% of Univision viewers tuning into primetime in real time, compared with ABC (75%), NBC (75%), CBS (73%), Fox (70%) and CW (68%). In 2011 to date, 14 of the top 20 programs that were most-viewed live were from Univision.
