Univision partners with investigative organization CIR to produce investigative stories

Univision has announced a partnership with The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) to produce investigative stories for the Spanish-speaking Hispanic market of the U.S. CIR is the largest non-profit investigative organization in the nation, and Univision has chosen to work with the unit to give their audiences access to investigations that cover civic issues and also encourage Hispanics to act and bring positive change to their communities.“The partnership with Univision ties in with our strategy of reaching an ever growing and diverse audience” said Robert J. Rosenthal, executive director of CIR. “Univision’s brand and huge audience across the U.S. and around the world make this collaboration a no-brainer for CIR and a natural fit for both organizations. We look forward to doing memorable and important stories with Univision News”.Univision’s award winning documentary unit, Documentales Univision, which focuses on subjects of special interest to the Hispanic community, will be working with CIR throughout the whole production process, from choosing stories to production and editing.
