Despierta América was the No. 1 morning show regardless of language in key markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and San Francisco among Adults 18-49
Univision Communications Inc. has announced that its morning show, Despierta América, has ended Q1 2013 with double digit audience growth across key demographics over the same quarter last year. With nine consecutive months of year-over-year audience increases, Despierta América remains the fastest growing morning show, regardless of language, in the current 2012/2013 season versus its English-language broadcast counterparts.This includes a February where Despierta América was the No. 1 morning show regardless of language in key markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and San Francisco among Adults 18-49. Univisions overall growth surpassed that of its English-language morning show competition in a number of key demographics including Adults 18-49 (up +25% to 471,000) and Adults 25-54 (up +20% to 472,000). In fact, among Adults 18-49, ABCs Good Morning America (+1%), CBS This Morning (+2%) and NBCs Today Show (-15%) were virtually flat or down in Q1 2013 compared to Q1 2012.
