More than 2,500 hours of original content will be part of its new programming for the 2021-2022 season, revealed Univision Communications Inc. in its Upfront.

With the motto “Grow with us”, the Upfront highlights the strategy that has made Univision the number one network in Hispanic TV for 29 consecutive seasons.

PrendeTV stood out as space with the widest selection of programs in Spanish with 50 streaming channels and more than 30,000 hours of content from renowned associated film and entertainment studios, as well as top-notch programming from the content video libraries of Univision and Televisa, exclusively for this service. Currently, PrendeTV has 1 million active users who spend an average of two hours per week watching streaming over the Internet and heading to 5 million users by the end of the year.

In addition to the 2,500 hours of original content, the network mentioned two new major events: UniVisionarios and TUDN Mega-Fest; the expansion of Despierta América to Sunday mornings and the launch of a 24/7 news channel, available on the PrendeTV, and that TUDN platforms, will increase their investment in combat sports, the second most popular sport among Hispanics.

“This is an exciting time for Univision, and I am proud of helping to plan the course of our transformation so that this iconic media company goes even further. We focus on uniting Hispanics with programming that promotes live TV viewing and ignites passion in its community, family, and culture. That is why we are adding more great live events and more sports programs, in addition to expanding the news schedule,” said Luis Silberwasser, president of Univision Television Networks Group.
