Univisions successful morning show Despierta América (Wake-Up America) commands a round-the-clock presence on social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Vine.As part of its commitment to social media and innovation, Univision has unveiled a brand new state-of-the-art digital studio called The Social Media Set on Despierta América. The Social Media Set will serve as the social headquarters of the broadcast, engaging viewers on a daily basis and providing an everyday platform for social conversation on-air.The studio features cutting-edge technology including: four huge vertical flat screens, two of which are touch screen; a screen dedicated to Uforia, Univisions music experience; personalized visualization of social media platforms with Instagram photos, Facebook posts, Tweets and Vines; polls and results delivered live; social media experience is being curated by Vidpresso.Despierta América is the first morning show regardless of language to dedicate an entire studio to social media platforms and user engagement. The Social Media Set was built in a new space that is fully dedicated to the fan experience and is solely devoted to social media.According to Facebook Insights, Despierta América has three times the Facebook fan growth as compared to Good Morning America and according to Twitter Analytics, two times the follower growth than the Today Show. Overall engagement ranks higher as well, with 40% more average engagement per Facebook post than the Today Show and a 36% more engaged Twitter following vs. Good Morning America.
