David Beck will report to César Conde, president of Univision Networks
David Beck is being promoted to senior vice president, Social Media, reporting to César Conde, president of Univision Networks.Under Beck’s leadership, Univision has been delivering record-breaking and award-winning social media efforts across all platforms, with Univision´s telenovela social strategy and with tent pole events such as Premios Juventud and Premio Lo Nuestro. One example is Univision most recent edition of Premio Lo Nuestro which was the most socially active awards program in the network history, delivering +320% in engagement from 2012, resulting in the third-most engaged audience of any entertainment awards show so far in 2013 regardless of network and/or language. Univision was also a big winner at the Latin Social TV Awards, taking home awards in eight categories including Best of Show and Best Broadcast Network. Beck has been with Univision since 2009 and most recently as vice president of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the CEO. Prior to Univision, he was with Bain & Company where he worked with companies such as Comcast, American Express, Arbitron, and top tier private equity firms on growth strategy and turn-around/change management. Earlier in his career, Beck held strategy and business development roles at MTV Networks and Viacom, and was an M&A Investment Banker. He received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and his BA from Tufts University.
