Univisión was the most popular network among the most sought after demo Adults 18 to 49 years old during the period of August 30th to September 5th, beating all of its anglo counterparts for the first time, and becoming the first Hispanic network to do so.According to The Nielsen Company, last week, 2.1 million of Univision’s prime-time averages of 3.8 million viewers were in the A18-49 demographic. By contrast, 1.8 million of CBS’ 5.7 million viewers were in this group.Univisión’s 3.8 million average (1.9 rating, 3 share) led the Spanish-language networks. Telemundo averaged 810,000 and TeleFutura 730,000 (both 0.4, 1); Azteca América had 210,000 and Estrella TV 180,000 (both 0.1, 0).Among the broadcasts that contributed to this success were the Fútbol Liga Mexicana (Mexico vs. Ecuador) soccer game on Saturday night and the finale of Desafío: La gran batalla on Sunday night, it also included the prime time telenovelas Hasta que el dinero nos separe (8pm), and Soy tu dueña (9pm).
