TV Globo Internacional closes a deal with Summit Broadband in Central Florida

TV Globo Internacional closed a deal with Summit Broadband, a cable TV operator in Florida, to distribute the channel starting this April. Summit Broadband is a Triple Play operator which distributes its signal in digital mode in Central Florida, including Orlando. The contract also includes the distribution of PFC Internacional. Produced especially for football fans living overseas, PFC Internacional is the first channel with 100% export focused in football, transmitted in Portuguese and which televises more than 600 live games per year. Apart from being on the residential market, Summit Broadband is also present in the Florida hotel sector, which is one of the largest in the world. As the region attracts many Brazilian tourists, as well as Portuguese speakers, many of the hotels using the Summit Broadband network have already signed up for TV Globo Internacional and PFC channels for their line-ups. The expectation is that until the end of 2012, a large number of tourists that visit Florida will have access to the two channels when they stay in hotels in the region.
