TV Azteca: Regular programming and films

Alberto Ciurana, director of Content and Distribution at TV Azteca; Adrián Ortega, VP of Azteca Siete, Pay TV and Acquisitions at TV Azteca; Sandra Smester, EVP at Azteca Uno in TV Azteca, declared to PRODU that the strategy of their channels in Mexico is to continue with their regular programming.

“We are still in very early phases, therefore it has not been necessary to cancel productions,” they expressed.

Regarding cancelled sports events, they stated that in these spaces they will air films throughout the situation. In the past few days, Ciurana was additionally emphatic when highlighting the responsibility of mass media in this crisis situation: to not encourage panic, comply with official recommendations, and follow a communications plan that fulfills the need to inform, were his recommendations.
