Joshua Mintz, deputy to the Chairman and Fiction director at TV Azteca
Generating original stories continues the premise of Joshua Mintz, deputy to the Chairman and Fiction director at TV Azteca. Proof of this is the production of Las Malcriadas (90×60’), a story already being offered in international markets and that will go on screen in Mexico in upcoming months, in the schedule of Nada Personal.
“It took us a year to write this story. It is an original script by Ximena Escalante, that has been given continuity with a group of writers, resulting in a solid story. This is our bet on original content. 90 episodes is a good number to make an important launch” commented Mintz.
The executive added that as well as generating their own contents, since co-productions are the future of the industry, they will continue open to the creation of projects together with other companies, to obtain results like Rosario Tijeras with Sony/Teleset, who recently launched with them.
For the producer Mónica Skorlich, the 90-episode format is ideal to tell a story with diverse topics, being the main one, that of women who have to support a family and are involved in different situations to do this.
